Welcome to the Curriculum Web Site!
The word curriculum is based on the Latin word for running, and refers to the sum of all the educational opportunities that an educational institution runs. You will find here links (on left navigation bars) to all the subject areas in all the grades and classes taught in the various schools in the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union. Curriculum also describes the collection of skills and facts that are taught in a particular subject area. For example, each page of each curriculum will show Scope and Sequence Charts, Objective Charts and By Grade Lists of Objectives pertaining to that specific curriculum. Click on these terms for a definition, and how to use them to find out what is presented, when it is presented, and how it is presented in a curriculum. Please be patient with us as you move through the pages of this website; it is a work in progress. Teams are in the process of writing and trying out new parts of the curricula, so documents are still being compiled, written and edited. After that, they are added as pages to the Curriculum Web. As the process continues, more editing occurs and the web pages are updated.
