Writing
The SVSU has a writing prompt benchmark assessment. The prompts and resources were created by the SVSU ELA Committee over the course of the 2016-2017 school year and is revised/updated every summer by the SVSU ELA Committee. It is the expectation that student work with be scored with the identified rubrics and discussed at grade level meetings with a Data2Action tool to identify strengths and next steps for instruction. The writing benchmarking windows for SY 20-21 are located on the 2020-2021- SVSU Assessment Chart.
