Teacher Association Negotiations
The boards have offered the teacher association a 7 percent salary increase plus step (8.85 percent total increase) for FY25, and an additional 7 percent plus step for FY26, along with step increases. This equates to a $1,871,965 for SVSU and SWTech teacher salaries combined.
The teacher association has proposed a salary increase ranging from 9.12 percent to 19.29 percent, depending on step, degree, and experience. The overall increase would represent a 15.34 percent increase in total teacher salaries. This equates to a $3,263,553 increase for SVSU and SWTech teacher salaries combined.
Support Staff Negotiations
The support staff association has proposed a salary increase of 8 percent plus step, which is 9.51 percent total increase in years 1 and 2. The boards have matched that proposal, but an agreement has not yet been reached based on other pending proposals. This equates to a $555,561 increase for SVSU and SWTech support staff salaries combined.
