Definitions
What is Harrassment?
“Any incident of written, verbal, electronic means, based on or motivated by a student’s or a student’s family member’s actual or perceived race, creed, color, national origin, marital status disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity, that has the purpose or effect of objectively creating an intimidating hostile, or offensive environment.”

What is Bullying?
"Repeated incidents of harassment or other incidents with the intention to create an intimidating hostile or offensive environment."
Any incident or incidents relating to a student’s race, creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability will not be tolerated and automatically investigated as an incident in violation to our HHB policy. The SVSU takes these matters very seriously and will investigate any suspected or reported incident.
The Reporting Process
