Policy Description
4001 - Harassment of Employees  To provide all employees a safe, supportive, and respectful work environment. 
4003 - Bullying Prevention - Adults  To prevent the occurrence of bullying in their schools. 
4020 - Appointments of Administrators  To follow a consistent hiring process for all administrators, other than the superintendent. 
4035 - Conflict of Interest in Hiring  Belief that the appearance of a conflict of interest should be avoided in hiring practices. 
4080 - Background and Criminal Records Check Policy  To investigate the criminal background and prior employment of all persons recommended for full-time, part-time or temporary employment 
4100 - Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace  To maintain a workplace free of alcohol and drugs. 
4120 - Professional Development  To provide quality, needs- based professional development for all staff, in alignment with system goals 
4121 - Travel Reimbursement  ...to reimburse the reasonable expenses for travel while conducting school business on a combination of actual cost and mileage bases by its employees and school board members, to the extent that budgeted funds permit. 
4261 - Substitute Teachers  To employ substitute educators who will meet the minimum qualifications outlined by State Board of Education Rule. 
4276 - Supervision of Volunteers and Work Study Students  To recognize the valuable contributions made to the school by volunteers and work-study students. 
4310 - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Compliance  To comply with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) with regard to any employee benefit or group health plan provided by the district that is subject to the requirements of the Act. 
4327 - Family and Medical Leave  recognize that employees may, on occasion, need extended leave time in order to care for themselves or for a family member. Any time limits or requirements listed in the following policy may be modified by a bargaining unit’s Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Please refer to the CBA for unit specific variations. 
4328 - Military Leave  Any full time employee who enters the active Armed Forces of the United States for a period not exceeding four (4) years (plus any involuntary extension) shall be granted a leave of absence without pay. 
4400 - Safety and Security of Employees  To maintain safe working conditions within our schools.
